COVID-19: Our Response

June 11 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective June 11, 2021, GPF stores located across Ontario are permitted to allow in-store shopping!  All stores are limited to 15% capacity at this time.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we welcome Ontario Customers back in-store.  All stores are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

April 7 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective April 8, 2021, customers in Ontario are not allowed to enter pet-specialty retail locations.  In addition, items may only be provided for curbside pickup if you place an order in advance of arriving at the store.  Find your local stores’ phone number here, or place an order online (select stores).  Thank you for your patience, and continued support of our locally owned stores!

Important note: all Ontario stores are not accepting returns at this time.

Below are the steps required to place your order with a Global Pet Foods store in Ontario:

  1. Call your local store directly (you can find your stores’ number using our Store Finder)
    1. Many of our stores are offering Online Shopping for curbside pickup; using the Store Finder, you will see a “Shop Now” button for those stores offering this service.  Alternatively, Click Here.
  2. Let them know what you need, provide your Pet’s Rewards Card Number & your AIR MILES Collector Number
  3. Also let them know how you would like to pay.  Payment options noted below, please note these may vary by location:
    1. Credit Card (# to be provided over the phone if wireless pin pad is not available)
    2. E-Transfer (the store will provide you the email to send the e-transfer to)
    3. PayPal (the store will provide you the necessary information to pay via PayPal)
    4. Debit (only valid if the store has a wireless pin pad)
  4. Call the store when you arrive for pick up & they will bring your order out to your vehicle.

 

April 1 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective April 3, 2021, all Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario are allowed to remain open with 25% in-store capacity.  The number of customers allowed in-store will vary by location.  If you would prefer to place an order for curbside pickup, you can do so by calling your local store (find the phone number here), or place an order online (select stores).

March 8 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Peel & Toronto Regions in Ontario:

Effective March 8, GPF stores located in Peel & Toronto Regions have moved into grey-lockdown.  This means our Peel & Toronto stores are permitted to allow in-store shopping at 25% capacity!  At this time all Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario are now open for in-store shopping, with local restrictions in place.

All stores are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

February 22 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in York Region in Ontario:

Effective February 22, GPF stores located in York Region are permitted to allow in-store shopping!  At this time, Peel & Toronto stores continue to operate under the curbside-pickup instructions as per the Stay-at-Home orders.  The included York Regions stores allowing in-store shopping are as follows:

Red-Control: 50% occupancy:

See below February 16 update for an up-to-date list of stores in other regions.  All stores currently open for in-store shopping are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

February 16 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective February 16, all Ontario stores outside of Peel, York, & Toronto regions are re-open for in-store shopping!  Stores located in York, Toronto, and Peel continue to operate under the curbside-pickup instructions as per the Stay-at-Home orders.  The breakdown of the zones for each of our Ontario Stores outside of Peel, York, & Toronto are as follows:

Grey-Lockdown: 25% occupancy:

Red-Control: 50% occupancy:

Orange-Restrict: 100% occupancy:

Yellow-Protect: 100% occupancy:

Green – Prevent: 100% occupancy:

All stores currently open for in-store shopping are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

January 14 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective January 14, items may only be provided for curbside pickup if you place an order over the phone or online.*  And ALL Ontario stores will be open no later than 8pm.  Find your local stores’ phone number here, or place an order online (select stores).  Thank you for your patience, and continued support of our locally owned stores!

*This is a requirement mandated by the Ontario Government.  For the updated document, Enhancing Public Health & Workplace Safety Measures in the Provincewide Shutdown, Click Here.  Page 19 of 34 outlines this additional restriction for all Pet Stores.

December 26 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective December 26, 2020, customers in Ontario are not allowed to enter pet-specialty retail locations.  As such, we are offering curb-side pick up only at all Ontario Global Pet Foods Stores. Below are the steps required to place your order with a Global Pet Foods store in Ontario:

  1. Call your local store directly (you can find your stores’ number using our Store Finder)
    1. Some of our stores are offering Online Shopping for in-store pickup; using the Store Finder, you will see a “Shop Now” button for those stores offering this service

May 14 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective May 19, 2020, customers in Ontario are allowed to enter pet-specialty retail locations again!  As such, our stores will be re-opening for in-store shopping on Tuesday May 19, with the following limitations:

  1. Limiting the number of customers in-store
  2. We are practicing 6 ft physical distancing
  3. We are using sanitization stations; please sanitize upon entry
  4. We are not accepting returns at this time
  5. Contactless payment is preferred
  6. We are still offering curbside pickup

As we all continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation very closely, we wanted to inform you of the actions we are taking to keep our stores safe for you, our customers, our staff members, and for our communities:

What you can do:

We are constantly monitoring the situation and adjusting protocol as recommended. At this time, we remain open (with limitations), fully stocked, and committed to providing you the friendly, knowledgeable service you’ve come to expect.

Please note at this time some of our stores have set limited/temporary hours and our Ontario stores are offering curb-side pick up only. We recommend checking your local stores’ updated hours using our Store Finder prior to visiting so as to avoid any unnecessary trips.
