NEW Fromm Trout & Whitefish

We’re excited to announce that Fromm Four-Star has launched their newest dog recipe!

A specially prepared entree with trout, whitefish, whole barley, whole oats, and an assortment of fruits & vegetables.

Four-Star Trout & Whitefish Recipe for dogs includes nutrient-rich fish and wholesome grains.  This recipe features trout, whitefish, salmon, egg and menhaden fish meal as the first five ingredients.

The new recipe is chicken, potato, and legume -free and possesses a unique kibble shape.  It is available in three convenient sizes: 4lb, 12lb, and 26lb.

COVID-19: Our Response

June 11 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective June 11, 2021, GPF stores located across Ontario are permitted to allow in-store shopping!  All stores are limited to 15% capacity at this time.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we welcome Ontario Customers back in-store.  All stores are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

April 7 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario:

Effective April 8, 2021, customers in Ontario are not allowed to enter pet-specialty retail locations.  In addition, items may only be provided for curbside pickup if you place an order in advance of arriving at the store.  Find your local stores’ phone number here, or place an order online (select stores).  Thank you for your patience, and continued support of our locally owned stores!

Important note: all Ontario stores are not accepting returns at this time.

Below are the steps required to place your order with a Global Pet Foods store in Ontario:

1. Call your local store directly (you can find your stores’ number using our Store Finder)
   1. Many of our stores are offering Online Shopping for curbside pickup; using the Store Finder, you will see a “Shop Now” button for those stores offering this service.  Alternatively, Click Here.
2. Let them know what you need, provide your Pet’s Rewards Card Number & your AIR MILES Collector Number

Effective April 3, 2021, all Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario are allowed to remain open with 25% in-store capacity.  The number of customers allowed in-store will vary by location.  If you would prefer to place an order for curbside pickup, you can do so by calling your local store (find the phone number here), or place an order online (select stores).

March 8 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in Peel & Toronto Regions in Ontario:

Effective March 8, GPF stores located in Peel & Toronto Regions have moved into grey-lockdown.  This means our Peel & Toronto stores are permitted to allow in-store shopping at 25% capacity!  At this time all Global Pet Foods stores in Ontario are now open for in-store shopping, with local restrictions in place.

All stores are permitted to resume customer returns as well.

February 22 Update – Important Update for Global Pet Foods stores in York Region in Ontario:

2. We are practicing 6 ft physical distancing
3. We are using sanitization stations; please sanitize upon entry
4. We are not accepting returns at this time
5. Contactless payment is preferred
6. We are still offering curbside pickup

Dear Pet Parents,

As we all continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation very closely, we wanted to inform you of the actions we are taking to keep our stores safe for you, our customers, our staff members, and for our communities:

• Increasing the frequency of cleaning frequently touched surfaces including the cash counter, pin pads, door handles, etc.
• Communicating proper handwashing practices with all staff.
• Increasing accessibility of hand sanitizers for employees and customers.
• We are suspending visits from outside sales reps
• We are staying home if we feel unwell
• All returns are suspended nationally until further notice in an effort to protect our team
• Limiting the number of customers able to shop at one time
• Practice safe social distancing while in store (minimum 6ft distance both while shopping throughout the store & while lined up at the checkout)
• Contactless payment only, we are not accepting Cash at this time.
• Stores may reduce operating hours, please visit our Store Finder for more information
• Stores may offer curbside pick-up, please contact your local store directly using our Store Finder
• If you are an AIR MILES Collector, you will be asked to flip over your card so our employees can scan the back.  If the back is not scan-able, you will be asked to read your Collector Number aloud for manual entry
• Asking customers who are feeling ill to avoid physically coming to the store, please call and we will assist you
• Limit visits to one family member at a time
• Limiting the number of customers in-store at a time (this varies by location)

What you can do:

• If you are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, or is suspected of having it, please refrain from coming into the store.
• Practice safe social distancing while in store (minimum 6ft distance both while shopping throughout the store & while lined up at the checkout)

• If you are an AIR MILES Collector, you will be asked to flip over your card so our employees can scan the back.  If the back is not scan-able, you will be asked to read your Collector Number aloud for manual entry
• Limit visits to one family member at a time

We are constantly monitoring the situation and adjusting protocol as recommended. At this time, we remain open (with limitations), fully stocked, and committed to providing you the friendly, knowledgeable service you’ve come to expect.

Please note at this time some of our stores have set limited/temporary hours and our Ontario stores are offering curb-side pick up only. We recommend checking your local stores’ updated hours using our Store Finder prior to visiting so as to avoid any unnecessary trips.

Who Do You Feed4?

Ontario, Canada (March 1, 2021) – Nutram Pet Products, a Canadian pet nutrition company located and produced in Elmira, Ontario, Canada, will be donating $1 for every bag of Nutram sold to a charity within your local community.

In May 2020, Nutram recognized the challenge many animal shelters were facing amidst the pandemic. The Canadian company launched Vote for Humane Kind, a campaign to select the top 10 charitable pet shelters, as voted by communities across Canada, to each receive $5,000.

“We wanted to contribute to the increased need for pet shelter funding as a result of the pandemic,” said Heather McKay, Brand Manager, Nutram. “This led to our heightened awareness of the many charitable causes, both pet and human-related, that could benefit from our support.”

As a result, Nutram has decided to launch Feed4, and will be donating $1 for every bag of Nutram sold, large or small, to a local charity selected by each of their Canadian-owned retailers.

“With every bag of Nutram purchased, your dollar supports Canadian nutrition, Canadian farmers, and Canadian retailers,” McKay says. “Now, your dollar goes even further to support a charity within your local community. The pandemic has really encouraged us, as Canadians, to support fellow Canadians.”

Nutram, exclusively sold in Canadian-owned retailers, has tasked Canadian pet specialty stores to select a charitable cause within their own community as the recipient of their donation.

McKay says they’re thrilled to be seeing the wide range of charitable causes being selected by pet specialty stores. “We’ve seen everything from local dog and cat rescues, to homeless shelters, to child Christmas gift-giving charitable organizations. Everyone has selected organizations that resonate with their own communities.”

The Feed4 donations will be backdated to all bags purchased from January 1, 2021 and will continue to accumulate on all Nutram bag purchases for 2021.
