Program Overview

Rewards Program: Buy the required quantities of your favorite brands in store, get 1   bag of the equivalent size free of additional charge (referred to below as a “Free Bag”)! 

The following terms and conditions (collectively, the “Terms”) describe and govern the Global Pet Foods Your Pet’s Reward Card program (“Rewards Program”). These Terms replace and supersede any pervious terms and conditions associated with the Global Frequent Buyer Program.

The Rewards Program is a loyalty reward program offered by Global Pet Foods L.P. in Canada other than Quebec and Pitou Minou & Compagnons in Quebec (collectively, “Global Pet Foods”, “our” or “we”) to customers purchasing pet food, litter and select supplements from Global Pet Food stores across Canada.

At participating Global Pet Food stores, the Rewards Program allows customers (“Member”) who have signed up for the Rewards Program to receive a Free Bag, in store, after they have purchased the required quantity of food, litter, or select supplement purchases (the “Eligible Purchase”), which will vary by brand. Eligible Purchases is restricted to participating brands and are grouped by sizes of bag. Global Pet Foods may designate from time to time, partners from whom Members will be able to redeem rewards (the “Program Partners” or “Partners”).

Members can track their progress and rewards earned via the Global Pet Foods App or by visiting any Global Pet Foods store.


Your Pet’s Reward Card Program Enrollment

Enrollment in the Reward Program is free, and no initial purchase is required in order to become a Member.

To enroll, you must have a valid Canadian address, valid email address and be 16 years of age or older. At a minimum, you must provide your first name, last name, email and phone number (the “Account”). Customer enrollment must be completed in-store (by visiting a Global Pet Foods or Pitou Minou & Compagnons store). You may be required to register your Account online to complete the enrollment process within a defined period of time before your accelerated earnings towards your Free Bag are awarded to your Account. To participate in the Rewards Program, you will need a Program device, such as a plastic card, a mobile card available by downloading the Rewards Program App, or any other device or technology that may be approved by Global Pet Foods from time to time (each a “Card”).

After completion of the Reward Program signup, you will receive a Global Pet Foods card entitled “Your Pet’s Reward Card” with a unique Customer Number (the “Account Number”).

The Reward Program is not a credit card. The card is the property of Global Pet Foods and it may be revoked at any time by Global Pet Foods in the event of breach of the Terms of the Rewards Program by a Member, misuse or abuse of the Reward Program by a Member, fraud, and/or any other actions deemed by Global Pet Foods to be contrary to the Reward Program, the Terms or the interests of its Members or Partners.

Members are responsible to advise Global Pet Foods immediately of any changes of Personal Information (as defined herein) including name, phone number and e-mail address either by asking a Global Pet Foods store employee to update their Account information or by visiting to update customer profile. In order to manage your Account information, Members must create an online account with a valid email address. Global Pet Foods shall not be liable for misdirected email or mail communications, including any notices under these Terms or any consequences thereof where your Personal Information is inaccurate or no longer valid. If we believe that some of our records are inaccurate, we may contact you to verify our records. Global Pet Foods reserves the rights to cancel and/or forfeit any Account for which we have incomplete or inaccurate, false or fictitious Personal Information. Global Pet Foods reserves the right to refuse issuance of an Account to any person who does not follow the prescribed enrolment procedures.

The Reward Program is only available to individuals. The Reward Program will not be available to corporations, businesses, charities, partnerships, enterprises, schools or anyone other than a living and natural person, unless written approval is received in advance from Global Pet Foods, in its sole discretion. Your Pet’s Reward Program will not be awarded, if in Global Pet Foods’ reasonable opinion, the merchandise purchased will be used for resale or commercial use and any purchase history awarded on such purchases will be forfeited.

If for any reason, Global Pet Foods believes a Member is under the age of 16, we reserve the right to request proof of age. If such proof is not provided, all Personal Information regarding that individual may be deleted from our system and the Member may be terminated, including the immediate forfeiture of all prior purchases.

All applicable purchases must be made in-store at Global Pet Foods stores under Member’s Account. The Reward Program Card must be presented to the cashier before the applicable purchase transaction is completed. Any unauthorized reproduction of the Global Pet Foods Reward Program Card may lead to legal prosecution and forfeiture of all prior purchase history and forfeiture of enrolment of the Program.

The Reward Program purchase history may be awarded retroactively if the original receipt and the Reward Program Card is produced in-store within 14 days of the date of the original Eligible Purchase.

Customer purchase history awarded on applicable brands towards the Free Bag are shown on our Global Pet Foods App, online at or available at any Global Pet Foods store.


Return and Exchange Policy

Global Pet Foods standard Return and Exchange Policy applies. In the event of a return or exchange of any applicable purchase towards accelerated earning towards a Free Bag will be deducted automatically from the Account that was used for the applicable purchase, whether or not the Reward Program Card is presented at the time of return and/or exchange. The Member will be reimbursed for the applicable purchase price shown on the receipt and in accordance with Global Pet Foods Return/Exchange Policy which is printed on the back of every receipt and available online at

Purchase history towards earning a Free Bag, as shown on Account in-store and listed on Global Pet Foods App, will be deemed correct unless otherwise substantiated by the Member by bringing forward evidence satisfactory to Global Pet Foods. In the case of a discrepancy, our internal database and records govern. Discrepancies must be addressed with the Global Pet Foods Customer Service Centre within three (3) months of the date on which the discrepancy occurred. Global Pet Foods reserves the right to restrict redemption or put a “hold” on accelerated earnings towards a Free Bag for up to 90 days from the date the purchase(s) are posted to an Account if Global Pet Foods has reasonable belief that fraud has occurred or in the event of a breach or suspected breach of the Terms of this Program.

The Rewards Program accelerated earnings towards a Free Bag is not transferable from one Member to another. Global Pet Foods may, however, in its sole discretion, allow the transfer of accelerated earnings towards Free Bag from time to time if we have reasonable belief that the request is accurate or valid.

The Rewards Program accelerated earnings towards a Free Bag are reduced to zero upon closure of Members Account closure.

Upon the death of a Member, the Account will be closed and any accelerated earnings towards Free Bag in the Account will be forfeited. Rewards purchases are not divisible in the case of divorce.

Should any Member not collect accelerated earnings towards a Free Bag, purchase merchandise using a the Reward Program or redeem rewards towards a Free Bag for 12 consecutive calendar months; the Account may be deemed to be inactive and all accumulated purchase earnings towards a Free Bag may be forfeited at the discretion of Global Pet Foods.


Redemption of Free Bag

Redemption transactions can be made in-store at any Global Pet Foods based on store item availability. The Free Bag will be earned upon purchases of the required quantity from that brand. Members can redeem a Free Bag same day; or save redemption of the Free Bag for next visit(s).

Redemption of Free Bag may not be collected or redeemed by any person other than the Reward Program Member on Account. Customer must present his/her Reward Program Card when redeeming rewards to protect the integrity of the Members Account balance. Proof of Card ownership may be required. Each Member is responsible to ensure that all Personal Information is correct and up-to-date and Global Pet Foods reserves the right to block redemptions where the Member’s information is inaccurate or incomplete. Members are entirely responsible for keeping their Account secure.

You must notify Global Pet Foods immediately if your Reward Program Card is lost or stolen. Notify a store employee at cash, or contact Global Pet Foods customer service at 905-790-9023 or 1-866-463-4124 to ensure a replacement card is properly issued to the correct person, and that all rewards in your Account are accessible only by you. Upon verification of proper identification, a new Account Number or Card will be provided to the Customer by the Global Pet Foods Service Centre or in-store, respectively. The accumulated unredeemed rewards balance shall remain intact.

If a lost Reward Program Card is found and used by any other person, all rewards relating to purchases made by such other person will be credited to the Member’s Account. Global Pet Foods assumes no liability or responsibility for rewards redeemed by any person(s) prior to the notification to the Global Pet Foods Customer Service Centre that the Rewards Program Card is lost or stolen. Any rewards redeemed prior to notification shall be at the Member’s risk.

Global Pet Foods will not be liable or responsible in any manner for any tax consequences or any charge imposed by or with the authority of any government, which may flow from any participation in the Rewards Program.

The entitlement to Free Bag has no cash value and is not exchangeable for cash. Except as permitted from time to time by Global Pet Foods, rewards, namely a Free Bag, cannot be assigned, substituted, exchanged, transferred, auctioned, duplicated, sold, traded, bartered, purchased or given by gift or otherwise sold, or transmitted via electronic media. Any rewards, namely Free Bags, so acquired are void. The accumulation of rewards does not entitle the Member to any vested rights, and Global Pet Foods and/or the Rewards Program Partners do not guarantee in any way the continued availability of any reward, redemption level, rebate or any other benefit, including Free Bags. Global Pet Foods reserves the right to change, alter or discontinue the Reward Program or any participating product or brand at any time without notice to the Members.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will maintain the privacy and security of all personal information collected from Members, including, but not limited to: name, address, email address, telephone numbers, date of birth, Account Number and purchasing information (“Personal Information”).

We collect your Personal Information for the following purposes:

By providing your Personal Information to us, you explicitly consent to our use of the information for the purposes specified herein.

Upon redemption and issued rewards, Global Pet Foods, if required by manufacturers, will provide your Account history to the manufacturer/vendor.

On occasion Global Pet Foods may collect additional personal information from Member on a voluntary basis through questionnaires or other methods. The Rewards Program status of any Member who does not wish to participate will not be affected.

All Member information will be used solely by Global Pet Foods and will not be sold or rented to any other organization. Personal Information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected and disclosure herewith, except with your consent or as required by law.

You have the right to know what information is held in your Member Account file and the right to challenge the accuracy and completeness of your information and have it amended as appropriate. To request access to your file, a written request should be sent to:

Member’s information is stored in our Cloud Servers managed by Global Pet Foods Rewards Application Service Partners and at your local Global Pet store you have previously shopped at to make your reward purchases. Access to this information will be restricted only to authorized personnel of Global Pet Foods, its agents or Partners for the purpose of carrying out the Rewards Program.

On occasion, Global Pet Foods may communicate special offers, information, and services to Reward Program Members. Any Member who does not wish to receive these offers may indicate so during the enrolment process. All Member information will be subject to the Global Pet Foods Privacy Policy as amended from time to time in accordance with its terms.


General Information

If events beyond Global Pet Foods control materially affect Global Pet Foods ability to operate the Rewards Program, Global Pet Foods reserves the right to change, alter, suspend or discontinue the program without notice.

Your acceptance of the Terms online and/or first-time usage of a Reward Program Card constitutes your agreement to all the Terms of the Rewards Program.

Any abuse by a Member of the Rewards Program’s privileges, any failure by a Member to follow the Program’s Terms and Conditions, or any misrepresentation by a Member may subject the Member to dismissal from the Program, including forfeiture of all accumulated rewards.

Every effort has been made to ensure that the information herein is correct. Global Pet Foods is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printed copies of these Terms nor those published from time to time on its website.

Any waiver by Global Pet Foods of the strict observance, performance or compliance by a member with any of the Terms contained herein, either expressly granted or by course of conduct, shall be effective only in the specific instance and shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any rights or remedies of Global Pet Foods as a result of any other failure to observe, perform or comply with the Terms. No delay or omission by Global Pet Foods in exercising any right or remedy hereunder shall operate as waiver thereof or of any other right or remedy.

For Québec Members, by redeeming rewards, the Reward Program Member releases Global Pet Foods and the Program Partners from any and all liability and claims regarding the redemption and use of the reward and any loss or damage caused by goods and services supplied as a reward. For Reward Program Members who reside in the Province of Québec, these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

The Reward Program Members who reside outside of the Province of Ontario, all Members attorn to the jurisdiction of the Province of Ontario. Global Pet Foods has the final authority as to the interpretation of these Terms and as to any other questions or disputes regarding the Program.

For residents of Québec, Members agree that Global Pet Foods will not be responsible for any reward, rebate or any other benefit provided by a Program Partner or any other third party participating in the Program and as such, releases Global Pet Foods, its affiliates, divisions, related companies, and all of our and their respective officers, directors, owners and employees, (collectively “Releases”) from any and all liability and claims arising from or connected to such reward, rebate or benefit, including the collection, redemption and use thereof as well as any loss or damage caused by such reward, rebate or benefit. Global Pet Foods or any of the above-mentioned Releases shall not be responsible for any delay in the shipping of rewards. The REWARD PROGRAM MEMBER OF QUÉBEC AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM AND EVERYTHING ON ANY PROGRAM PARTNERS’ SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY CONDITION, REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

By participating in this Reward Program, you agree that: (i) you will contact us directly and give us the opportunity to try to resolve any and all disputes before you take any action in court, or otherwise; (ii) except for Program Members who reside in the Province of Québec, any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Program shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (iii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall in no event include legal fees; and (iv) except for Program Members who reside in the Province of Québec and to the extent permitted by Law, under no circumstances will Member be permitted to obtain awards for, and Member hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. In any event the Member agrees that the maximum compensation shall be a Free Bag.

In the event that any provision in these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
